Heart Jewelry Hangers

These were actually a Christmas gift for my neices, but I decided to hold off on the post until Valentine's Day!  Plus... If I posted it before hand their mommy would see!  My mom always said, "If you see what your present is, I take it back!"  LOL  Maybe I should have posted it, but I could have kept them!

Family Proclamation ABC's

So my kiddos have finally used up all the coloring pages I printed for them for Sacrament Meeting, so one thing on my TO DO list this week was print color pages.   I saw this post on BeingLDS and knew it was fate!    I just decided to take it a step further and create something that could be used during FHE, Family Scripture Study or  as a coloring book during Sacrament Meeting!

I went through The Proclamation and found the letters A-Z in order!  It was hard!  I did have to take some creative liscensing and misspell a few words.  (LiQley... Unother...)  I also had to kinda insert the word Join.  I think the place I put it will help to memorize, but you don't have to actually remember the word itself?  I dunno... It was MUCH harder than I thought!

Cindy Lou Who's Princess Mirror

My daughter went back and forth for weeks on what she wanted for Christmas.  We watched The Grinch and She decided she wanted the "Cindy Lou Who's big pretty mirror."  I had to go back and watch it to see what on earth she was talking about.  If you have ever shopped for mirrors you will know they are NOT the cheapest thing.  I can't imagine what it would cost me to get a mirror with a pretty frame like this...

Princess Eye Patch

My daughter found this in my pile of redo stuff.  It came of a pair of her pants that got serious holes in the knees.  I was going to add it to a shirt or something cause the embellishment was to cute to toss!  She pick it up and immediately put it over her eyes!

     "Mommy!  This would make a perfect Sleeping Princess Eye Patch!"

     I cracked up, "Yes it would Babygirl!"

     "Can you make me one right now?"

Well... it was clothing repair day at our house... so... why not add something fun to the pile?  I've decided that my kiddos ARE spoiled, but in a thrifty way!  Right?

My brother is on a mission in Jacksonville Florida for our church.   I am always looking for fun things to send him.  Well, he requested some good music to listen too.  Some how the crazy music man ended up there with no tunes.  Seriously... he has about every song imaginable on his computer at home.  Anyways,  along with the classics, Mormon Tabernacle Choir CD's, I decided to write a little something of my own!  That being said... if you aren't LDS or have been on a mission, this song probably won't be funny to you.  Sorry!

Pollyanna Activity

This past sunday I had some silly kids looking on the downside.  While it happened to be NONE happened to be girls from Activity Days I still felt impressed to do an activity on happiness!  I feel that it is large part a choice to be happy.  And so... The Pollyanna Activity was born!

Paper Bag Popcorn

This post is total proof that I am a CHEAPO!!!  lol  Popcorn in a bag isn't that expensive, but I seem to have a hard time shelling out 3.50 for a box of 3.  We just go through them to fast on the weekends!  I have always wanted an air popper, but... I don't want to pay full price and when I see one, it's just not the first thing on my list!  Then I saw a post somewhere around the net about doing this and HAD to try it.  I couldn't find the original post, so I googled.. yes... I am copying a little so I will just say this.

This was not my original idea, but it's so good I had to post it ANYWAYS!

A Little Tax Deduction?

Ok...  So it's after Christmas so I'm allowed to buy crafty things now and I have 2 problems.

1. It's now very hard for me to do without wondering how I can get around it at home.  I was pretty good about doing this before, but now it borders on the insane.
2. I went on a crafty shopping spree with some Christmas cash and all I came back with was 6 boxes of Fabric Crayons.  They were on sale for 1.50 each.  I felt a strange guilt and put the rest of the cash in our long term savings pile....
