Blog Planner Printable

Welcome to
Whipped Up Wednesday!
Where I share something crafty I just whipped up!
(Or  took a long time making but you get the idea.)

Today I want to share with you my blog planner printable.  I know not all of you blog AND there are a ton of blog planner printables out there.  But while attempting to take my own blog up a step I just found that none of them were quite what I needed.
So...  of course I had to create my own!
My first pages are two calendars.  The right one is attached to the back cover and the left to a separate piece of cardstock.  Both are laminated so I can use a dry erase marker on them!  After I laminated them I used packing tape to attached them together so they would kinda flip out.  Then I can use the left one as a sort of book marker when I get a few pages into the post pages which are next!

Here are the post pages!    Every idea I have for a post ends up here.  I list the idea, right below is a place for a few notes, in the middle is a column for possible tags, and to the far right are circles to check if I have Facebooked or pinned a post and if it is a giveaway and if the winner has been found yet.  (Notice to the right the blank page?  That is the back of  the calendar page!)
Kinda self explanitory, but here is a page to list different sites that I link to sometimes and a day of the week to circle for whatever day they are hosting a party!
Here is a sheet to list new blogging goals, like... sign up for Twitter or figure out Google+ because... I haven't done either of those things yet.
There are so many different sites that I use to run my blog I decided to create a page where I could keep the different usenames and passwords.
To list different blogs and sites that I like or might want to feature!  I had to print quite a few of these!
To list statistic and monitor growth.
A place to list where I advertise or who advertises with me.  I printed 2 of these.
This is just a random notes page.  Gotta have cute scratch paper right?

 Click on each word below to download and print however many pages you need!

My Organized Blog Thoughts

Welcome to
"Thawed-Out" Thursday!
Where the thoughts stuck in my head come spilling out.  Don't step in it.  Might get Jessica on you!

It has been 2 years and 5 months since I started this blog.  It started by simply wanting to have my own space to catalog my ideas.  Being blonde, having be born with only 2 wisdom teeth and then giving birth to three children has taken it's toll upon my memory.  Now...  If I happened to help or inspire others along the way... that would be a totally awesome added bonus.

Somewhere along the way this blog has become my little baby.  I love to design it.  I love to think of new ideas to share on it.  I attempt to post regularly and come up with lots of different ideas.   I like to sew and write and paint and organize and design and cook and bake and play and cut and paste and dance and fix hair and... everything!  But I have this problem.

My baby seems to never grow!  While I don't expect to become a famous blogger who has tons of advertisers and blog stalkers, I would like my blog to have come a little further than it has.

So I have made a list of Blogging Goals to help me on my quest to provide a better and more interesting blog for you to read!

My first step...  Provide a simpler and more professional look so you are seeing my POSTS rather than my fancy background paper.  I THINK I have done that.  While I still chose to design the blog myself rather than go with someone professional, I think my little skills at design provided what I can afford.  FREE.  While not perfect it will do!

Second step...  Get organized.  This is a big step with several smaller steps inside.  My new plan has me blogging EVERYDAY in order to provide a constant stream of Jessica information.  In order to blog everyday I decided to make up a schedule with a different theme everyday so you know what to expect!

Sunday
In general we don't do a whole lot on Sunday besides go to church and hang with the family at the house.  It is our day to relax so my blog will too!
I figure if Chick-Fil-A can observe the sabbath and be a booming business then my blog can too!
As Vernon Dursley in the Sorcerer's Stone once said, "Right you are Harry!  No post on Sundays.  HA!

It's a Pinteresting Monday
Every Monday I will pick a theme and feature 10 interesting ideas I find via Pinterest.

Tummy Tickled Tuesday
Where I try out a new recipe or cooking tip and share it with you!

Whipped-Up Wednesday
Where I share something crafty I just whipped up. (Or took a long time working on, but it will me made by me!)  It could be a sewing tutorial, a quilt, a cleaning tip, a decoration, a printable...  anything goes here.

Thawed-Out Thursday
Where I dump the random thoughts in my head.  I might add a crafty tutorial or printable if it goes along with the thought.  Mostly you can expect thoughts on family life here I bet.  They are what I think about most!

Fudge Featured Friday
Where I will feature a cool site or blog I found and show a few of the reasons why I love it and you should too!

Sundae Served Saturday
"Saturday is a special day, it's the day we get ready for Sunday!"  I am a member of the LDS church.  Here you will probably find posts related to my various callings as I attempt to fulfill them or anything spiritually related.  To find out more about my church visit Mormon.org.

So this is the new Sherbert Cafe line up!  You like?  I hope so!  Write it down and remember what days to find the posts you like most!  I am a poet and didn't know it!  I hope this helps to make my site one that is easier to read.  I have a few more blogging goals in my head.  We will see how they play out!  I love to play!

New Blogger Post Signature Tutorial

This is my first posting a tutorial on editing the HTML for you blog.  I am NOT computer HTML savy and yet I somehow managed to design my own blog.  So...  If you are afraid DON'T BE!
Normally I would leave a tutorial like this to the pros.  But... after searching FOREVER I couldn't find a good post on how to create a signature for ALL of you posts that would work for the new blogger interface.  Blogger tends to change alot, but hopefully this trick will work for a while!

This post is hopefully over explained so that firstiest will be able to do this easy.  If you think you kinda know what to do... simply read the words in bold-itialics and skip my babbling!

For this tutorial I AM using the "Simple" template that blogger provides.

OK... First you are going to need a post signature image to work with.  Most people are fancy and create a custom signature using Photoshop, which I don't have.  If you have a windows computer you can use a program called Paint.net.  I have a Mac and NO photo editing software.  I simply went into Microsoft Word and created a signature using a cute font and the fancy word features there.  When I right click on the image there I just save it to my computer.  I have a white background on my blog so I wasn't worried about removing the background.  If you are super awesome (most people besides me are) then you have Photoshop and you know how to do this picture part better than me!

Next you are going to need to upload the image to an image hosting site like PhotoBucket.  Keep that page open on your computer cause... you are gunna need it in a minute.

Still reading... Good!  Because here is the part that I KNOW WILL be different!

Now log in to your blog and  head to the dashboard.  It looks something like this!  In the upper right hand corner click on the button that says "Backup/Restore".  Save your blog template to your desktop!  This way if you mess up... no worries!  You can just reload this and no harm no foul!
Now... in the picture above... see where it says "Live on Blog" and then below the picture there is a "Customize" and an "Edit HTML" button...  Be brave and click the "Edit HTML" button!
It will probably come up with a sign that says something like "If you proceed you will be doing something scary and these are my scary words to warn you that you could mess up your blog and them your eyebrows will reach amazing lengths!"  Anyways.. click "Proceed" and then don't worry about the eyebrows.

Now hit Ctrl and F on your keyboard to do a search within the text on your page.  It might be different on different computers...  on my Mac it is "Apple and F".  In the little box that pops up type .post-footer { and then hit ENTER.  This should bring you about halfway down the page if you take a look at the scroll bar to the right.  You screen should look something like this!
Now...  copy and paste the following code just above the spot where it says .post-footer {

.post{
background: url(YOUR URL HERE!!);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: bottom right;
}

See the highlighted portion in the pic below!  Just like that!

Now head back to Photobucket and grab the picture code from there!  Copy and paste the picture code into the spot where it says "YOUR URL HERE!!"  It should now look like the picture below!  But... with your picture code...

 Now... check your eyebrow hair and click Preview!  Now you should get a quick peek at what it will look like for real.  If it comes up with a scary message about eyebrow hair...  I can't help you cause...  Honestly, I am VERY armature at this.  I simply played with the code until it worked!  But if it worked for you then hit that save button!!!

See!  Here is my fake blog that I play with until things look right and feel safe using them on my real blog!  Note the insightful post pictured below has a fun signature!
This should put your signature at the bottom right corner of EVERY post on your blog!

Now...  I am going to assume that when I mentioned the scary notes from blogger about the eyebrow hair you knew I was being sarcastic.  If the scary not actually says something about your eyebrow hair...  Umm..  I suppose you are either crazy or you are dreaming or... Someone at Blogger is flirting with you in a very strange way.  Switch to wordpress?  LOL
