I recently have gotten into making freezer meals. I put several together on a Saturday and then I have several healthy meals ready to just put in the crock pot or oven when its dinner time. It has helped to speed up dinner. But... I thought I probably need to list what I have and what I use so that I will be more efficient every time!
I usually make about 4-8 of each meal. They are good for about 3 months. I figured this will help me keep track of what ends up being used more and what needs to get used soon! If I make 8 I will cross of 9 and 10 so only 8 is showing. Then when I use a meal I will cross of 8.... You get the picture.
While I created this for my freezer meals it could work to inventory your whole freezer. Personally.... I would have hopes of doing that buy... realistically... Yeah, not gunna happen. LOL
I created this to match the 2015 Printable Planner. You can put it in with that or magnet it to the front of your freezer! What every you choose! Scroll down to get the printable.

Family Emergency Binder
I have been using a binder for all our important paperwork for several years now. With my husband being in the military it is nice to have one easy place to grab important paper work. Its nice when we are moving too! I know that everything we could need, by way of papers, is in one place and won't get packed! Unless the bind gets packed.
In our house we call it the BIG BOOK. Big Book holds everything from shot records to family photos. I did a post a while ago call VIP Papers. I recently decided it was just time to update and go through the whole thing. Of course in the process I did more research. I took away some stuff and I added other things. I thought I would share the new printable with you! Link is at the bottom of the post. Along with instructions.

Here is the cover I created. Feel free to print this one or create your own.
Included is a Master Check List so you have one easy place to see what is actually in the Binder. I would print this on white.
Every section on the Master List has a Divider Sheet. I would print these on colored paper so that they are easier to see when you put them into page protectors. I use washi tape to create tabs
Included is also a Emergency Car Kit Check List, a 72 Hour Emergency Checklist, an Emergency Bin Check List (for things to big for the 72 hour kits), FEMA Evacuation Guidelines, a How-to Prioritize a Grab and Go List, A Grab and Go List, and Emergency Info sheet.
You may want to print extra 72 hour sheets and Grab and Go Sheets to you have one for each family member.
I also created a simple ID sheet so you have this easy info on each family member. I would create two copies of these and keep them together in a page protector.
Once you get there just right click and print!
I hope this helps some one get a little more organized!

2014 Planner Printable

I am a sucker for printed planners. I always have been, but since being married and having kids there was a point where I slipped away from them.
One year I decided to create a blank planner printable for my husband who has used a printed planner ever since I have known him. And since I was making one for him I decided to make one for me!
I was rehooked! I have no clue how I stayed organized without one!
He recreated a monster. That was 2012 and for 2013 I decided I wanted something a little bigger and opted for an Erin Condren Life Planner. LOVE IT! So cute, perfect size, and great quality all wrapped into one amazing planner!
For 2014 I wanted to go the Erin Condren route again. But I was a little late in ordering and it wouldn't even be shipped until Jan 9th by the time I looked at it! How would I stay organized until then! My children would run about willy nilly and our meals would consist of PB&J for breakfast, lunch and dinner! So I decided to go on Etsy and check out the printables for sale. I figured this way I could customize the pages a little more and it would cost less than a Life Planner from Erin.
While browsing Etsy I expressed my plight over not being able to choose. And feeling guilty for paying for something I would still have to print and could have create myself. Then there was fact that none of them were quite perfect for what I wanted and I would have to mix and match planner styles. It wouldn't match! So my husband opened his big mouth.
"Why don't you just create your own?"
I have plenty to do. I didn't want to make a printable. It takes time, I don't think I am that great at it and I seriously need a new computer. And plus I want the dates printed on the page. I don't want just blanks that I fill in. Call me picky. It would take forever to do that myself.
Then my husband opened his big mouth again.
"Ok. I just know you will like it more if you make it. I KNOW you can do a great job. You are amazing."
Silence on my end while I rev up for the idea... And husband realizes that I am beginning to change my mind and that I will spend hours on the computer making something perfect but that I didn't want to initially. He opens his mouth again.
"WAIT! You don't have too! Spend the money please. Save yourself sometime. You are... also great at adapting and you will love whatever you find and put together on Etsy!"
To late hubs... you have create a monster who then spends hours creating herself the perfect planner and then posts it on her tiny blog in hopes that at least one other person will use her hours of work besides herself. But it's OK! We watched the entire next season of Sons of Anarchy and a few episodes of House of Cards and I only neglected my children for a little bit.
AND NOW TO MY PLANNER!
The following pages I printed on 8.5 x 11 24 Lb paper and selected borderless when printing. Not sure about how your printer works. Play with a few pages before you go to crazy.
ALL DOWNLOADS ARE AFTER EACH DESCRIPTION
AND AT THE END OF THE POST!!!
To start there is a brief info sheet.
Followed by a two page spread of a month...
...and then all the weekly pages that follow that month.
The monthly and weekly printables are all in order. You just have to print front and back.
There are in two seperate downloads to keep the file size small.
Like I said... my computer is slow and 7 years old.
P.S. I printed my January to June before triple checking all the spelling.... Apparently it's the year TwentyFOUteen for me. LOL I fixed it for you.
Since I was creating my own planner and had search Pinterest and Etsy like a MAD woman (because all the best people are mad right?) I knew there were a few extra sheets I would like to add. I will put them in the order that I printed them for my planner. Most likely you will want to rearrange them for yourself! Chances are I will before getting it bound!
Special Dates are on 4 seperate pages. I printed these front to back. These are so I can remember birthdays and anniversaries or holidays.
Budget Planning - There are 4 sheets in this. One monthly budget sheet and then 3 expense tracking sheets. We are Dave Ramsey fans in our house. He has helped us to stay debt free! I printed one set for each month.
Favorite Recipes - We do family dinners at our house. Since my hubby works a 24 on 24 off work shift at the fire station we don't get to see him much. But we are allowed to bring him dinner! But with piano, karate, birthdays, church activities... we get busy. Writing down a list of our favorite recipes is just one of my quick ways to schedule my weeks in the planner.
Meal Planning / Grocery List - Many of the planner printables I found on Etsy had an individual section just for meal planning. I created one thinking I would use it, but... I will use just a Favorite Recipe List and place them right onto my weekly planner pages. Just easier for me. But I made the sheet so I had to share. SOMEONE use it PLEASE!
Cleaning Checklist - I printed only one of these with a notes sheet on the back. This is more so I can look at it and know what needs to be or already has been done.
Auto Maintenance - I am horrible at remembering things like this, but since the hubby is gone so much I am the one that keeps track of things like this. Neither of us are super mechanical so an auto maintenance sheet will be useful (I think...). It has a notes sheet on the back so you can track anything else I didn't include.
Babysitter Checklist - I loved this idea! Especially since we make a habit of moving around a ton AND have a 4 year old who seems to love bi-yearly trips to the ER. I printed 10. Hopefully we go on that many dates! We are stay in, drink fancy hot cocoa, grab a Redbox and snuggle type of people. It's cheap! Just like me. (But my husband hates it when I say that. He says I am not cheap I am thrifty.)
Contacts - Um... to write down the names and numbers of people or places.
Password Log - To help me keep track of passwords and kids log ins for school.
Blog - You never know... with all this planner organization I just might remember to post something besides this planner!
Random Ideas - This is more a of TO DO list. I have one side for household things (ex:Create new sewing table from Treadle or Reorganize winter hats and gloves.) The other side is for random things! (ex: Finish quilt for baby shower or clean toys in the church nursery.)
Notes - You may recognize this sheet because it is included with a few others. I wanted extras of these for random note taking. Like... when meeting with a teacher or writing down that cute clothing website a friend recommended.
Here is a list of all the printables found on this post!
Print and Enjoy!

DIY Heart Thread Holder
Guess what day it is!
Whipped Up Wednesday!
Where I show you something I just whipped up!
You may remember this desk from a few days ago? While creating the beautiful desk I took the opportunity to rearrange alot of my sewing supplies. One thing that has ALWAYS annoyed me was having my thread in a drawer. You can see them all, but if you don't have enough to fill the drawer right they all roll around and sometimes get tangled in each other and Bleh! Yucky!
My Grandma Edna was a fantastic seamstress and quilter. My mom and her four sisters all sew. Now my and my sister sew. Hopefully one day our daughters will continue on a sewing legacy! Anyways, always remember a big wood board in my grandmothers sewing room that had HUGE nails tacked in with line upon line thread spools on it. There were so many colors! It was a beautiful site to me even before I was old enough to sew! It was simple, it was colorful, it was gorgeous.
So when my mother asked if I would like one of these spinning thread organizers, I politely declined. I knew exactly how I wanted to organized my thread! While I do not have rows upon rows of thread, I still wanted to display my thread on the wall the way my Grandma Edna had. Since I just painted a new sewing desk I could make the thread holder match!

I got a piece of scrap wood about 15 x 12 inches and painted it blue to match the dresser. I left the middle plain with just the exposed wood. I like wood and I wanted the lighter color as a background for my thread. Then I used glossy Mod Podge on the whole thing.
Ignore the ugly back cause... I didn't bother painting it. But pay attention to the sawtooth hangers! I put on in each top corner.

I lined up my threads with the largest bottom all around the heart and used a pencil to mark the top inside circle where the nail would go.

The I used 3 inch tack nails and tapped them in about 1/4 inch. I was careful to make them the same angle.
See! Gorgeous. Simple. EASY!
Now my I have quick access to my thread that is NOT rolling around in a drawer, only to surprise me with a lovely tangle when I pull it out for use!
And... Now I have another thing to remind me of my Grandma Edna while I sew.

Chevron Sewing Desk
Welcome to
Whipped Up Wednesday!
Where I share something I just whipped up! Or... something I worked hard on, but... it's something made by me!
Since we have decided to homeschool the kids for part of this year due to a few extremely possible military moves, I have been on the look out for the perfect desk or table for the kiddos. The most frustrating part about this is? I actually have the PERFECT table, but it is in storage with the rest of our things in South Dakota! RGG! I have a hard time paying for something I already have and don't really want two of.
After searching Craig's List, thrift stores, garage sales, and Flea Markets with no luck, maybe I am too picky or cheap, I posted my frustration on Facebook! Then I get a reply that one of my friends has seen something that might work down the street as their neighbor just put out the trash! YEAH ME!
We go over to get it and find out it is actually the house of ANOTHER friend from church. So, we are loading up their trash garage work table and explain why it is treasure and how we are gunna chop it shorter to be a kid desk. Then they say, "You know. We actually picked up a really cool desk from the side of the road and were going to get rid of it too. We only brought it back in the garage cause it's kinda nice and it was raining!"
Seriously! He said the top had been ruined, but he had created a new top. It was sorts dirty and scratched and bumped, but wow! So the trash table went back to the trash and this little baby went into our truck! The card table that my sewing machine is on is long and a good length for a school desk. And now I will have a new SEWING DESK!
I immediately set out to taping and painting what you see above! It was so fun. I taped out the pattern and gave my 7 year old and her friend paint brushes and told them where to paint while I went outside and sprayed the desk! I hind sight I might have painted the desk black instead of blue, but... I HAD blue spray paint and NOT black! I like using what I have. Also... I am not afraid of crazy colors!
While the desk is not showcased in fabulous glory living in it's current location, this will have to do. The rental we are in for now is small and has HORRIBLE lighting. BUT I have a very colorful, inspiring desk to sew near. It has drawers that fit my 2.5 in strip collection perfectly. I LOVE having a little drawer right below my machine for scissors and thread. And... It is perfect for now!
YEAH ME!

No-Sew Curtains
Welcome to
Whipped Up Wednesday
at Sherbert Cafe. Where I share something with you I just whipped up!
This week I want to share with you the curtains I created for our "School Room".
My wonderful Family Closet/Laundry Room is being reorganized and rearranged to make way for a special place for homeschooling this year. Since the whole house was supposed to be only our home for a tiny bit really NONE of our house here is decorated. I just couldn't bring myself to spend cash to decorate something for a little bit, especially when I have all that same decorating stuff in storage!
But... I want the School Room to be a happy comfy place, so curtains were really... inevitable!
This tutorial really needs no super long explanation because it is that easy!
I simply got about 1 yard of fabric and sliced it into strips that were 2.5 inches by width of the fabric.
Then I cut those strips into 4 equal sections.
All of the windows in this house have these already in place from the previous owner. I simply got some cheap ribbon I had on hand, eyeballed the width of the window, and then sat down to watch Psych with the hubby on Netflix! As we watched I tied the strips tot he ribbon near the ends and Voila! Curtain done in one episode! Or was it two? Yep two.
The one where he the Halloween episode where they are at his old camp AND the one where his mom is kidnapped by the Ying Yang Killer. That one was crazy! But good.
I was to lazy to tie it up last night, but this morning I just tied the ribbon ends to the little thingys by the window! I love it! And... no it isn't raining. We live in Florida and it is that humid today!
It also matches perfect with my 88 cent weather chart from WalMart. I we are getting excited for school!

Kids Chore Charts
There are so many Chore Charts out there, but I had to share mine! It has been working like a charm for us so far! I love having help too! When I first started thinking of the kids charts I decided that this time I would have to make myself a chart first! While I never have had complaints about, "Why do I always have to do ____." I didn't want them to start! So I made myself a chart first! To see that post CLICK HERE!
I love having the help and I think it helps them that my chart is right above theirs. They see that mommy has done hers, so... time to do theirs! No complaints so far! In fact, I have hardly any complaints so far. Maybe it's because they have THEIR chores and they do them sort of as they can.
Anyways... on to the charts!
I started with 1 batting and 2 fabric pieces cut to 4 x 18 inches.
Then I layered them batting, fabric facing up and then fabric facing down. Then I sewed around the edges EXCEPT for...
A small hole where I could flip the thing right side out!
Here it is right side out and pinned to stay. I then sewed again about 1/4 inch from the edge.
I then used my machine to stitch TO DO TO DO TO DO along one edge and ALL DONE ALL DONE.... along the other! This part you can skip if you don't have an embroidery machine OR if have a steady hand you could use a fabric marker or maybe T-Shirt paint?
I then hot glue the fabric strip to a Gigantic letter A, because... this one is for my daughter whose first name is Aurora!
I glued some magnets to the back so it could hang on the fridge.
We use cloths pins to mark the chores. When one is done she moves it to the other side! I made of for my son too, but I haven't been able to find a Gigantic T yet... Hmm...
I like the clothes pins because they have some chores they do every day, but some that I would like for them to take turns doing! At the end of the week we take those chores off and they draw them out of a bag or bowl or whatever I have handy! It has been working like a charm so far. We pay them in nickels, except for the ones like homework... I give it to them at night and the put the ones they need to do the next day on the other side!

Laundry Trash Cover
I started this bag with big ideas. In my laundry room is a plastic bag that hangs on a knob and serves as trash collector for lint and dryer sheets. I have had a plastic bag in every home we have lived. When it fills I chuck the whole bag. So, my idea here was to make a plastic bag cover to match The Lonely Sock Bag. It didn't end up quite how I wanted, but it serves it's purpose! Also... in hinds sight, there is a MUCH easier way to do this!
Since I was making a trash bag cover I decided to use an actual trash bag as a pattern. I cut open the bag and laid it flat.
I used this to measure 2 pieces of fabric for the outside of the bag, 2 for the inside and 2 pieces of batting. Notice I only cut them square. I didn't use the handle portion of the bag. I guess I could have, but... I didn't! The handles on the original bag folded several times and I didn't want to do all that folding and pinning and have bulky handles.
Next I took my 2 outside fabrics and laid them right sides facing and sandwiched them between 2 pieces of batting. Then I sewed up the to outer edges, leaving the top and bottom open.
I did the same with the inner fabric, only minus the batting. I sewed up the 2 outside edges, leaving the top and bottom open. I then left the all wrong sides out and laid the inner fabric on top of my batting/outside fabric combo.
Next I got a bag that was still sealed on the bottom and placed it center on my fabric. The I grabbed both layers of fabric and folded up one side a little less than the fold of the bag and pinned on the bottom.
I did the same on the other side only this time I flipped it under. I don't thing this really matters only... I think I would have flipped them the same next time cause... It doesn't really matter!
Anyways... then sew along the bottom edge.
Next I flipped it right side out by grabbing the inside layer and one outer layer and... flipping them!
See... flipped and funky shaped!
Next I pinned some matching binding along the top seams with right sides touching and stitched along the top seam.
After folding it up and over to the other side I pinned and stitched it down with a decorative stitch!
I used the same decorative stitch to make some handles. I wish I had lined these with batting... oops. they r just fabric folded over a couple of times.
I made sure they were the same length as the plastic bag handles before stitching them in place.
Here it is done... the first time! It is cute... and it works, but it didn't quite turn out how I was thinking.
See... I even took a cute finishing photo. But... it just didn't seem quite how I wanted it. But I went through all that work and it took me 2 months of staring at it to figure out exactly what to do to fix it in my mind!
I took some elastic and placed it between the outside edges of the bag. Stretching the elastic as I sewed it down made the edges ruffle a bit when I let go.
See! Edges ruffled and cinched in a bit did it for me.
